The FED is healing the wrong Illness:

The Federal Reserve announced the purchase or $100 Billion in direct debt, for this reason the mortgage rates are below 5%. But this will have no effects on real market because people are afraid, people are unemployed and they canīt react to this stimulus. People need trust in the market, and to trust in the market you need one thing, Job. The FED is wasting Billions of Dollars in the wrong things, I expect that this heal will not increase the illness.

Well said and I agree with you. I guess the problem is that the powers that be always feel that they need to do something to fix the system to make it look like they are doing their job.

I suppose it is a lot like peer pressure over there in washington and their offices. If they were to stand aside once in a while and just let market forces take over, they would be accused of negligence of something similar.

But your point is well taken.

Perhaps many years down the road, we will all look at this period in our financial history as one of the most wrong headed onces in terms of policy decisions. And the people who are making those decisions now, may not even be around later to take the blame for them.

Thanks for your answer, the policymakers are just recognizing their errors, as Greenspan case, in particular Bushīs administration is one of the biggest mistake in USA history.
